Vehicle Lettering vs. Vehicle Wraps

Vehicle Lettering is some of the most cost effective forms of advertising for your business. However, when you look at lettering in the long term you can combat ghosting that you get from lettering with a wrap. Ghosting occurs when the paint fades around the lettering and when you remove your lettering at the end of it’s life, the paint behind the lettering will be brighter than the surrounding paint, thus giving you a ghosted effect. You can still achieve the appearance of lettering, but with a full vehicle wrap. In that, your background color or scheme can be a solid color, or even just white of the material. It protects your paint from UV fading and removes cleanly without heat up to 4 years later! Here’s a recent simple wrap job we did recently to emulate lettering.

Wrapped Up!

We spent 3 of the 5 days last week working on unwrapping a full-size, 24 ft Mercedes Sprinter that was not wrapped with wrap vinyl to start with, fully cleaning and prepping the van, and fully applying the new wrap vinyl. Of which, we digitally printed and laminated using 3M IJ380-CV3 vinyl on our Roland Pro III XC-540. All in all it was 1.5 days to remove/clean and prep, and 1.5 days to install the new wrap. Wrapping up for the Winter
